Following the passing of George Jones in 2009 the idea was floated of having a memorial trip on the Bluebell Line in 2010. A number of us made our way to Sheffield Park to celebrate George\'s long involvement over many years with the railway. Tony Sullivan a longstanding friend of George and a member of the Preservation Trust very kindly spent the day with us and acting as our guide.

Salisbury is a beautiful place to visit, with its medieval streets and places of interest too. You can visit the Cathedral, many Museums, some Castles, the Wilton Carpet Factory and Shopping Village and also Longleat and Stonehenge, which are nearby too. Lunch was taken at The Red Lion, which is possibly the longest running purpose built hotel in the country, and was built over 750 yrs ago to house the draughtsmen working on the nearby Cathedral.
