Trust Chairman Retires

The Reedham Trust – Announcement

Mr Richard Link, Chairman of the Reedham Trust has given the Board notice of his intention to stand down as
Chairman in September and to retire from the Board of Trustees at its Annual General Meeting to be held later this
year.

Richard has been a trustee on the board since the Trust was established in 1979, and has served as Chairman since
2007. Mr Link’s family has had links with the Trust since the founding of the Reedham Orphanage in 1844.

The Board of Trustees expressed their sincere thanks to Richard for the service he has shown to the Trust. Richard
has worked tirelessly during his time with Reedham to ensure it has been able to continue providing opportunities to
vulnerable children on the edge of care. He served on the Finance Committee and more recently the Development
Committee; as well as being the major representative of the Trust, attending meetings, developing relationships,
visiting schools and conferences, and taking a keen interest in the attainments of the children supported by the Trust
as well as securing the continued support of individual donors.

In a statement Mr Link said ‘I feel this is the appropriate time to hand over, but this will not deflect from my continued
wish to support the work of the Trust. It would be an honour as Vice-President, to continue the family tradition in
which four generations have served on the Board of Management’.

The Board has announced Mr Paul Julius will succeed as Chairman. Paul has served as a trustee for over ten years,
and has strong emotional and familial ties with the Trust which go back to his mother’s involvement in the 1940s.

Paul has held Sales and Marketing Director, and Managing Director roles within large engineering companies,
founded three travel companies and chaired a consortium of corporate travel companies. He has recently sold his
corporate travel business and now has more time to devote to the Reedham Trust.

In a statement Paul said ‘I feel really honoured to have been selected to be the next Chairman of the Reedham
Trust’s Board of Trustees. With the support of my colleagues and the Trust’s staff, I now look forward to confronting
the pressing challenge of developing the Trust to match the rapidly changing social and economic environment. My
prime objective is that the Trust should continue to give increasing support to children in need of the sort of positive
life changing opportunity which Reedham, with the help of our donors, has provided for the last 160 years.’
