IMPORTANT UPDATE TO MEMBERS

Dear ROSA Members

The Committee regrets that no nominations have been received for the ROSA officers’ posts that will become vacant at the AGM on 28^th June. In the light of this, the Committee is pleased to report that they have now received offers from people prepared to make possible the continued running of ROSA. This would be on the understanding that ROSA shall have a slimmed down structure and organisation that requires far less demands on people’s time.

The main aim of ROSA would be to continue as a friendly society which enables Old Scholars to keep in touch with each other and to share news of other Old Scholars.

The intention would be to hold one annual event, by way of a reunion most likely at Croydon Park Hotel. ROSA would no longer subsidise this event after this year and people attending any future event would need to pay for their own lunch and drinks on the day. We would promote and publish details of this event, and any other ROSA news, on the ROSA website and through our email contacts list and social media.

ROSA would no longer be run as a fundraising enterprise and will cease taking subs from Old Scholars.

Existing stocks of Merchandising would continue to be sold through the ROSA website and at any future ROSA events with all the proceeds going to The Reedham Children’s Trust.

In order to help reduce our merchandising stock we will be holding a “Grand Sale” at the Reunion on the 28^th June where all our prices will be dramatically slashed; so do come prepared to grab some bargains.

Your Committee believes that in the present circumstances these proposals are the best way forward for ROSA in order to secure its future.

We look forward to seeing many of you at the Reunion on 28^th June and would welcome any thoughts our Members may have in regard to the proposed changes for the future running of ROSA.
