Reunion 2011
Building works were not completed at our usual venue, Beaumont School in Old Lodge Lane, but we managed to hold the reunion at the United Reformed Church Hall in Purley.
Members were greeted upon arrival by Lindsey. Tea and coffee and biscuits were served by Denise and the hall soon came alive with friends chatting and exchanging news.
Maureen brought along merchandise kindly donated by Proctor & Gamble and Linda did very well selling the goods.
Ernie, faithful as ever, set up his table selling Reedham memorabilia. Thank you Ernie.
We sat down to an excellent cold buffet followed by delicious gateaux and coffee, all laid on and served by Scotts’ Catering Service. The wine was supplied by ROSA
Stuart’s raffle did well, as it always does. I think the sale of tickets was one of the best. Everyone was very generous – thank you all round.
Derek was prepared to open the Reedham Museum at 5 p.m. but there were no takers but thank you Derek for the offering. The Museum has some new exhibits so it is worth a visit in 2012.
Another reunion came to an end and I am sure was enjoyed by all who attended. The list is shown opposite – my apologies if I have missed anyone out. I would like to say on behalf of the Committee, including myself, that we look forward to seeing you all again next year at our usual venue, Beaumont School, Old Lodge Lane, on June 16th 2012.
Wishing you a very happy and healthy year ahead,
Anne Parry
Social Secretary
