The annual Christmas collections with the Purley Rotary Club took place on Thursday 13th and Saturday 16th December. The Reedham Trust is a joint beneficiary from the proceeds of these two collections. Representatives from The Reedham Trust and ROSA joined with Rotary Club and we were fortunate to have good weather on both days.  UPDATE – Ernie’s funeral took place on Tuesday 27th November at Mortlake Crematorium, Richmond, Surrey and was followed by a wake at The White Hart, Barnes, London, which overlooks the River Thames. Ernie’s friend, Yogi Gay, drove the Routemaster bus, which used to be partly owned by Ernie, all the way up from Southampton to accompany the coffin to the crematorium and many of Ernie’s family, friends and work colleagues (both old and new) boarded the ‘No 68’ to share one last journey with Ernie.  The funeral was attended … Read entire article »

I am now delighted to report that with the cleaning of the cross, which stands on top of the plinth, the restoration of the Chapel Memorial has now been completed; as you can see here from the before and after photographs.
